Mohamed Mohamed asked 6 years agothere is an opinion that one is not obliged to attend the friday prayer when one departs after fajr but before dhur time enters.
Because of that I left the house 20, 30 minutes before dhur enters in order to visit an indoor playground in a nearby village with my small daughter and a wife.
We went there by bus and I forgot that we have to change bus in downtown when dhur time already entered. Then we waited for the bus for 20 minutes eating breakfast.
I thought: “It is not too late yet to go to friday prayer instead as we are still in our town. So I can ask for it.” But then I thought we actually have begun our trip so I may be excused inshallah.
So the we went to our destination which is situated 6 km away from our town and stayed there the whole day where I prayed my prayers.
My question is: Is there a legal ruling that what I did was permissible or should I next time either go to the friday prayer or or to assure that I am outside my city boarders BEFORE dhuhr time enters? Off course when my wife doesn´t mind and I think there is no problem for her going alone with my daughter.
