atalukder asked 3 years agoI was planning to buy phones with a phone line that also gives free Netflix (Leads to watching movies etc.).
In context, my family is planning to buy Netflix regardless (I oppose this), but buying this would just make Netflix free and may guarantee that Netflix will be available for use for the next 2 years.
Would it be halal to encourage the purchase of this phone plan?
The data on the phone may be beneficial for me in order to find Qibla with the location or for other things or for homework. Also, the phone line wants us to pay an activation fee to start each line, they count this as starting the service. Afterward, we pay a monthly fee for the phone line and phone. Is this activation fee permissible?
