Assalaamu ‘alaykum,

Is there an official opinion within the Hanbali madhhab with regards to democracy as a governing/political system and voting? Can it be said that both are prohibited or allowed categorically or are there nuances to it? And if there is no official position, is there something as a majority view within the Madhhab?
