Salam w alaykum,

There is a mosque nearby which was originally a youth centre which has a soccer/basketball court inside.

This centre now is called a mosque and has plans to upgrade and become a bigger mosque but this may take years. For now it still retains the indoor soccer arena and still utilizes it to arrange for youth sports.

My question is does this centre fall under the heading of a mosque although we still pray in the basketball area where sports are sometimes played after we finish? The mosque is split into two one side the rear court is often used for sports whereas the front still has its soccer posts so i assume they use it for sport on some occasions.

This mosque offers prayer 5 times a day and jummah prayer aswell.  Jazak allah
