Imam Ahmad was asked about raising the hands after standing from tashahhud and he said: ‘I do not do it’. But Imam Ahmad considers it permissible to do so. The reason he did not consider it recommended is that it is not established as the regular practice of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Most narrations mention raising the hands in three places: at the start, when going for ruku’, and when standing from ruku’. Few other narrations mention a fourth place, which is after tashahhud, so it is permissible to follow that, but it is not the consistent Sunnah, otherwise it would have regularly been mentioned alongside the other places to raise the hands.
This is why in the madhhab it is better to only raise the hands in the three places mentioned above, and not when you stand from tashahhud, because this is the consistent Sunnah of Salah.
