Some recommended actions during prayer, such as widening the arms during Sujud and Tawarruk, become prohibited if they cause discomfort to or harm those around us, as explicitly stated by Imam al-Buhuti (r) in Al-Rawdh. So when spaces are tight and mosques are filled, it is even more of a reason to be extra cautious of not harming others. It is better to pray in the second row than to force yourself into the first row while causing others discomfort, and your reward is not lost.
